If you’re trying to be everywhere at once, let me save you some stress: you don’t need to be.
One of the biggest mistakes I see business owners make is spreading themselves too thin. Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, email marketing, blogs, TikTok… it’s exhausting just reading that list.
Instead, start here:
1. Where are your customers actually hanging out?
Not where you think they are.
Where are they engaging? Asking questions? Buying?
If you’re a service-based business, LinkedIn or Instagram might outperform TikTok. If you’re product-based, Instagram and email marketing might be your power combo.
2. What content can you realistically create?
Consistency beats perfection every time.
If video makes you cringe, don’t force Reels.
If writing flows easily, lean into captions, blogs and emails.
3. What’s driving enquiries?
Look at your data:
• Where do your leads come from?
• Which posts get saves and shares?
• What content sparks conversations?
Double down on what’s already working.
4. Pick 2 core platforms
Not five. Two.
Master those first. Build your audience. Refine your message. Then expand if it makes sense.
Marketing isn’t about doing more.
It’s about doing the right things consistently.
